You might have seen me rave about this special concoction on Instagram and once you try this, you'll totally see why. While I was at uni I never had much time to think about what to make for breakfast so it was always porridge (n I aint complainin') and sometimes I'd get creative. Remember when Mulan had porridge with fried eggs and bacon in a shape of a smiley face?

This gave me inspo to poach my eggs straight into the oats but I wasn't feeling it, so after a few attempts over the course of a some mornings I tried whisking an egg into my porridge and my God, it was a game changer. It adds a whole new level of creaminess and deliciousness and I couldn't recommend it any more than I am right now.
A word of warning is to not cook on high once you've added your egg because you could end up with weird scrambled watery oats which aren't so good. The key is to whisk the eggs in once the oats are cooked on low. And yes use a whisk to make sure it's as smooth as possible.

Ingredients
- 1/4 c oats
- water
- 1 scoop collagen (optional)
- 1/2 tsp maca (optional)
- milk of choice (optional)
- 1 egg
Method
Cooked on high for about 5 mins/until thick then turn heat to low and add some milk and whisk in the egg (well). Let cook on med-low for a few minutes while whisking every so often until it reaches desired thickness.
